They will spend a day learning about military history with historians from the Michigan Military Technical &amp; Historical Society. We will explore food from the past, learn some archiving basics, and do an art project.</div>

<li class="x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s">Make a beaded decoration/ornament or color a picture to take home after visiting the model train!</li>
<li class="x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s">On December 14, stop in during &#8220;Christmas in the &#8216;Burg&#8221; for free hot cocoa and treats. Live Christmas music will be provided with string duo The Raven Bow (Bob and Kathy Brandt)!</li>

<p>History Camp is for students entering 6th-8th grade in the 2024-25 school year. Attendees will spend their time at the Historic Village learning about Vicksburg history, railroads, local industry, music, and how to protect family artifacts at home.</p>
<p>We are proud to present a speaker each day to highlight a different subject. All attendees will be provided a t-shirt, snacks, and interesting topics to keep them learning.</p>

<p>Join us for the second installment of the 2023 Speaker Series with Michigan railroad historian Mark Worrall.</p>
<p>Mr. Worrall will take us on a trip up the GR&amp;I railroad. Beginning on Vicksburg, the presentation will follow the rail line up to Petoskey, giving the audience a view of what they might have seen in the heyday of rail travel.</p>
<p>The Speaker Series is held in Township Hall in the Historic Village at 2pm. This is a free event and is open to the public. Please join us!</p>
