DESCRIPTION:Do you know a Vicksburg Middle School student that loves history (or learning!)? \nHistory Camp topics will include industry\, local history\, music\, art\, archiving\, railroads\, and books. Participants will receive quick interesting lessons from speakers knowledgeable on their topic. Speakers include: \nSharon Carlson\, retired WMU archivist (protecting photos and documents at home)\nLeah Milowe\, Vicksburg Historical Society Museum Administrator and Curator (local history)\nSusan Kallewaard\, Vicksburg District Library Youth Service Librarian (book recommendations)\nKathy and Bob Brandy\, The Raven Bow string duo (music)\nVicksburg Cultural Arts Center\, art project\nThe Mill at Vicksburg \nJuly 22-26\, 2024\, 9am-12pm. Open to students in 6th-8th grade for the 2024-25 school year. \nCost is $50.
