Hidden Vicksburg Tours are back after seven long years!
Have you ever wondered what is upstairs in your favorite Vicksburg building, or in the basement? This is your chance to find out!
Guided tours will take you to the “hidden” parts of at least 10 historic buildings in downtown Vicksburg.
Some buildings included in the tour:
200-202 South Main Street, Vicksburg Maker’s Market/Reuben Smalley Building (Former Vicksburg Fire and Village Hall)
101 South Main Street, Paper City Development/McElvain Hotel (Formerly Vicksburg Hotel and Vicksburg Community Center)
125 East Prairie Street, Allstate Insurance/Ellsworth Hotel (Once Fred Rapp and Beatie’s Grocery)
301 South Kalamazoo Street, Vicksburg Schools Admin. Building/Old E.
Registration: All tours will begin at the registration table at 200 S. Main Street (Vicksburg Maker’s Market). A liability waiver must be signed at registration. Registration will open 30 minutes before your tour time.
Length of Tour: Tours will last approximately 1.5 hours and include approximately 1.5 miles of walking.
Times/Group Info: Two tour groups will each set off at 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm, and 2:30pm. Each group is limited to 10 people.
Parking: Public parking is available behind downtown buildings, on the street, and at the corner of Washington and Kalamazoo. Please respect businesses and homeowners when choosing parking.
Stay Comfy: Hidden Vicksburg is a walking tour, including stairs inside buildings. Please dress for comfort!
Tickets: Member Ticket – $12, General Ticket – $15
