Vicksburg Cemetery Tours

History comes alive this fall at the Vicksburg Cemetery Tours, a unique afternoon of storytelling and remembrance on Saturday, October 3 at Schoolcraft Township (Vicksburg) Cemetery.
The walking tour will introduce visitors to veterans buried in the cemetery, those that made it home and those that did not. Their stories will be told by local volunteer actors. This year’s tour includes:
Edward Lightfoot, who died in a plane crash during World War II.
Frank Rusoti, an Italian immigrant who enlisted before becoming a naturalized citizen.
John Canavan and family, members of the Canavan family served in the Civil War and World War I.
Samuel & Dwight Corwin, Samuel was a veteran of the War of 1812. Three of his sons served in the Civil War, including Dwight.
