Sunday, June 27 at 2:00pm the Township Hall in the Historic Village will host Gary Swain.
Mr. Swain will present his excellent program on the Civil War seen through the eyes of Michigan soldiers who fought at Gettysburg. Swain is Department Senior Vice Commander for the Department of Michigan in the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, a fraternal organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of veteran heroes who fought and worked to save the Union in the American Civil War. Mr. Swain is an accomplished lecturer on such topics as Veteran Gravestone Preservation, Genealogy in the Cemetery, Michigan and the Underground Rail Road as well as Michigan in the Civil War.
