  • Historic Village Opening Day and Vicksburg Old Car Show

    Vicksburg Historic Village opens up for the season on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 9am. As part of the Vicksburg Old Car Festival, the Historic Village will host the Kalamazoo Valley Antique Engine and Tractor Club and more! All buildings in the village will be open to the public. Regular Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm.

    Kalamazoo County historian Steve Rossio will present The Life of Private David Lee Sutfin, 126th Infantry, 32nd Division, World War I as part of the  Vicksburg Historical Society Speaker Series  on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 2pm in the Vicksburg Historic Village Township Hall building. The Speaker Series is free and open to the public. A $5 donation is recommended.Follow the signs to park on the grass near the building.

  • Vicksburg District Library – Third Annual Truck & Vehicle Expo

    The Vicksburg District Library will be hosting their Third Annual Truck & Vehicle Expo at the Vicksburg Historic Village On Friday, July 11.     Our second annual History Camp is July 21-24, 2025, 10am-3pm! Register here: https://form.jotform.com/241134786518158 Students, 6th-8th grade are welcome to dive into history with the Vicksburg Historical Society.Campers will get the chance to be hands on in all buildings of the historic village during an in depth tour. They will spend a day learning about military history with historians from the Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society. We will explore food from the past, learn some archiving basics, and do an art project. Registration is $50, scholarships may be available.
