Do you know a Vicksburg Middle School student that loves history (or learning!)? History Camp topics will include industry, local history, music, art, archiving, railroads, and books. Participants will receive quick interesting lessons from speakers knowledgeable on their topic. Michigan railroad historian Mark Worrall returns to the Vicksburg Historical Society Speaker Series for a second year. This year, Mr. Worrall will present "Michigan Depots - All Shapes All Sizes. We are excited to have Mr. Worrall back! Please join us on Sunday, August 18 at 2pm in Township Hall at the Vicksburg Historic Village. As always, the Speaker Series is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!

The 14th annual Harvest Festival is fantastic fall fun for the entire family! Admission and parking for the fest are free. The event will feature: Horse Drawn Wagon Rides Model A Car Rides Pumpkin Decorating Contest Pumpkin Weight Guess Secret Word Hunt Antique Tractor Demonstration Animal Zone (petting zoo) Food Vendors Children’s Entertainment The Harvest Festival is organized by the Vicksburg Historical Society.

Hidden Vicksburg Tours are back after seven long years! Have you ever wondered what is upstairs in your favorite Vicksburg building, or in the basement? This is your chance to find out! Guided tours will take you to the "hidden" parts of at least 10 historic buildings in downtown Vicksburg. Dr. John Geisler will join us on October 20 to present "Strange, Unusual, Crazy, and Weird Highway Signs". This program focuses on signs found across Michigan that will make you scratch your head and wonder "Who okayed this?". As always, our Speaker Series if free and open to the public.
